Being a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant is an extension of 25 years of nursing experience in the Military and Civilian sector. Working as a bedside clinician, Manager, and, a Nurse Auditor in Hospital Administration, I can review and analyze medical records addressing issues such as Standards of Care, Hospital Policy and Procedure, Patient Rights and Responsibilities, HIPAA Compliance and billing and coding issues. I am a Certified Inpatient Obstetrical Specialist since 1988, as well as a Certified Patient Accounts Manager. 

•  Screen or investigate cases for merit.
•  Organize, review, and analyze, medical records.
•  Define the applicable standards of care relevant to your case.
•  Define deviations from or adherences to the applicable standard of care.
•  Identify and review relevant hospital policy and procedures and essential documents.
•  Assess issues of damages and causation relative to liability with the legal process.
•  Identify factors that caused or contributed to alleged damages and/or injuries.
• Conduct literature search and integrate standards and guidelines into case analysis.
• Consult with healthcare providers.
• Identify, locate, evaluate and confer with expert witnesses.
• Prepare interrogatories.
• Assist in exhibit and demonstrative evidence preparation.
• Attend depositions, trials, review panels and arbitration and mediation hearings.
• Coordinate and attend independent medical examinations.
• Help prepare witnesses and experts for deposition and trial.
• Develop written reports for use as study tools in developing case theme.
• Testify as an expert witness.
